Governance

MCR is governed by its Governing Committee in accordance with its Constitution, applicable laws and approved organisational policies.

Governance authority rests collectively with the Governing Committee.

No founder, Chairperson, donor, volunteer or individual has unlimited authority over the organisation.

The Governing Committee is responsible for oversight of matters including:

• charitable purpose;
• strategy;
• financial management;
• safeguarding;
• risk;
• policies;
• conflicts of interest;
• regulatory responsibilities;
• program oversight; and
• organisational accountability.

MCR maintains appropriate records of significant decisions, finances, conflicts, complaints and charitable assistance.
